Half Marathon, anyone?

As I've mentioned, I've given up on the idea of running a full marathon. After doing the Nike Women's Half Marathon last October, I decided that half marathons are the way to go. Below is a list of half marathons in California, as of today. I bolded the ones that I'm going to train for. If any of you want to join me, let me know so we can get to training. If you want to find more races, simply log on to the Runner's World magazine website and look for race calendars. They update it pretty regularly and have a great search function. Hope to see you all at the next race!

We should aim for October - either the San Jose Rock-n-Roll (which is supposed to be totally fun and the course is completely flat) or the SF Nike Women's Half Marathon (another fun, well-organized marathon, but the course is pretty hilly). Let me know when you're ready and I'll get you set for training in LA. Maybe you and Lucy can meet up on the weekends for the long runs!

October sounds great. Do you think 3 months will be enough time to train? Or would 6 months be better? I'm going to start running around Palmdale, but not really to train for a marathon.... Let me know what you think?
