cheers to a new start

HELLO and WELCOME to the new chronicles. Yea to blogger for creating some new template options. I'm really liking this new layout! The pictures and the colors are what I've been hoping to put together for a while now.

I know. It's been AGES! Admittedly, I haven't been as good about working out as I should be. I've also slipped on the primal/paleo eating. However, I'm now working on going back on track by putting myself on a three month challenge that starts on July 1st! Here are some goal I have set out for myself:

I'm getting that f--king pull-up! Strategy: I'm planning on coming in early to One World and getting some pull-up work done before the actual WOD. Also, I'm going to put my globo-gym membership to use by doing some machine work to build my upper body strength. I'm doing three days of specialized upper body work to get to my pull-up.

I'm focusing on improving the diet. Strategy: I'm keeping a food journal. Plus, for the next three months, I'm putting myself on a different food challenge. For July, the challenge is no fried food. For August, the challenge is no bread. I haven't decided what September's challenge is going to be (any suggestions?). In early October, I'm going to schedule my blood work to see if there is any difference in the numbers.

I'm eating in more! Yeah. You read that right. I'm putting a limit to eating out. Strategy: I just received my copy of The Primal Blueprint Cookbook. Inspired by the film Julie & Julia, I'm going to attempt recipes from the book. Depending on time, I'm hoping to do one to two recipes per week.

I'm hitting the ground running. Literally. I miss running and I want to get back to it. Strategy: I'm looking for a race to do sometime in the fall. Perhaps a 5k or a 10k. If you hear of something, let me know.

This is what I have so far. I'm sure there will be more goals and strategies to come. As soon as I sort them out, I'll let you know.

For now, can I just say that I'm LOVING Drop Dead Diva?! Gah! It's amazing how TV can sometimes imitate life. For now, enjoy this teaser.
